Ming Dong | Guzheng Teacher

Ming Dong, born in Melbourne, has attained a Grade 10 with High Distinction from the China Folk Orchestra Association. She discovered her passion for the guzheng in 2015. Entranced by the instrument’s ethereal beauty and rich cultural heritage, this desire has driven Ming to share her love for the guzheng and its captivating melodies, aspiring to ignite a similar passion in others.

– In 2017, won 1st place in IOMC Folk Music Juvenile Group

– In 2019, won 2nd place in IOMC Folk Music Juvenile Group

– Won 1st Place in both the Preliminary and Final rounds of the 2023 White Magnolia International Music Festival – Traditional Chinese Music Competition Australia/New Zealand – Guzheng Non-Professional Junior B Group

– 2023 Received an offer from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Bachelor of Music Performance.
